At Saitsa, we believe hygiene is a basic right, not a luxury. Which is why we created the Saitsa Wellness Bank to provide students with access to personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies.

Donations Welcome

Through community involvement, Saitsa encourages the donation of hygiene products in order to allow for students to receive all the necessary items they require.

Wellness Bank FAQ

Who is able to apply for the Wellness Bank?

Current SAIT students are able to apply for the Wellness Bank. Based on the application, students will be notified whether their application has been approved or rejected.

How many items am I able to request?

When applying, students are able to choose up to 10 items that they would like to request.

How long will it take for my request to be processed?

We will be processing kits based on demand per week and supply quantities available. Therefore, does not guarantee that all request submissions will be approved. Requests will be approved based on the students’ circumstances and situation.

How will I know when my Wellness Hamper is ready to be picked up?

Approved applicants will be notified of their pick-up date through email once their hamper is ready. Students will have 3 business days upon receiving this email to pick up their hamper.

Where do I pick up my Wellness Hamper?

Students will pick up their hampers from the Resource Centre (MC107, Stan Grad), otherwise students will be notified if there is a location change. Students will be expected to present their SAIT student ID upon pick up.

What if I’m experiencing food insecurity?

If you are experiencing food insecurity due to financial hardships, please feel free to submit a request through our Emergency Food Request page.

What happens if I don’t pick up my Wellness hamper within the 3 day window provided?

If the student does not pick up their hamper within the 3 days provided in the email, the hamper will be forfeited to another student as the Wellness Bank has limited supply and quantities available.
