How long have you been at Saitsa?
I've been at Saitsa for two years!
What is your education and work background?
I graduated from SAIT with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and majored in human resources (HR). In terms of my work background, after I graduated, I received interviews for different HR positions, but when I was competing in an HR case competition for school, the previous VPA (Vice President Academic) told me that her position would be empty after her and that I should try to run for the position. She told me that the position has many HR-focused roles and responsibilities! Two or three weeks before the election period, I decided I wanted to try to run for the position and I got it.
Why did you choose to work for Saitsa?
When I know something is right, I want to advocate for it. I’m a natural advocate! I’m thinking about going to law school in the future and I'm motivated to because I want to get into politics. Getting experience in advocacy and having those natural traits will only help me in the future!
What advice do you have for new SAIT students?
Get involved in anything SAIT-related! Participating in case competitions, clubs, networking events, and similar events will make or break your experience at SAIT. If you put yourself out there, you’ll get something out of it.
Why should students get to know Saitsa?
Because of all the services we offer! Saitsa puts students’ needs first, everything is done for the students. We have mental health, financial, and academic supports, fun activities for students, and the Gateway and Odyssey to enjoy great food and drinks with student-friendly prices!
