Saitsa's Experiential Learning Program (ELP) gives students hands-on opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. Through real-world experiences, students develop valuable skills while building confidence and making meaningful contributions to their communities. This program helps create well-rounded graduates by combining classroom knowledge with practical learning on campus.

First Aid Training

Blended Learning Format

Provided by Big Hearts First Aid

First Aid Workshops

Location: NN704 and NN706 - Senator Burns Building

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) approved First Aid training is provided by Big Hearts First Aid, a certified training partner of the Canadian Red Cross and an accredited trainer with the Heart & Stroke Foundation.


The course follows a blended learning model, combining online instruction with a one-day, in-person training session. You must complete the online portion before attending the in-class skills session.


This subsidized professional development opportunity is offered through the Saitsa Student Experiential Learning Program (ELP) to support student wellness and community safety.

Certification

Successful participants will receive a “Standard First Aid Certification with CPR/AED Level C,” valid for three years.
