The Gateway Presents: Double Fuzz and Alert The Medic with Crooked Spies and The Night Terrors live on May 19th!

Double Fuzz http://www.doublefuzz.com/
“Double Fuzz dig deep and blow their sound up to far larger proportions than their lineup would otherwise suggest.” Mike Bell The Calgary Herald
“The stage sags underneath Whitehead’s three daisy-chained amps swelling his guitar attack…Their riff-driven sound howls and snarls a confident swagger, as if the duo were a pair of caged animals looking for a release, all cock and strut.” Sebastian Buzzalino Beatrout Magazine
Double fuzz is poised to release their next punch of infectious tracks with the scheduled release of their new EP in spring 2018. For the new record Jonny Fuzz travelled to Nashville to work with Grammy nominated producer JT Daly. It’s by far the best thing Double Fuzz has recorded and the response is making them think they can do some serious damage together! Double Fuzz dug deeper into their songwriting and their own sound to etch out their distinct mark on the modern riff rock genre.

Alert the Medic https://www.alertthemedic.com/
This Halifax based, four piece rock band has been winning over audiences everywhere with their anthemic sound and high energy performances. Alert The Medic are Ryan MacDonald, vocals/guitar/piano; Troy Arseneault, guitar; Matt Campbell, bass; and Dale Wilson, drums. Alert The Medic represents the very definition of a truly independent artist, proving time and again that they are a force to be reckoned with. There’s no denying their high energy rock & roll makes them an explosive group – on disc or in concert!

Crooked Spies http://www.crookedspies.com/
Sweaty palms and beat red bliss, broken strings with an electric kiss. From an outsider looking in this concisely paints a picture of Crooked Spies, a four-piece rock band hailing from Calgary, AB. Fronted by brothers Dylan and Steven Evanik, the group spans the entire spectrum of the genre. Influenced heavily by the garage rock revival, they adhere to a raw & natural, “passion vs. fashion” approach to the art form having been compared to acts such as The Black Keys, RATM and Danzig. https://youtu.be/gG-UUhYCyqk
